Preferred desktop size

Choose Small form factor for anything below an ATX-sized desktop. Choose Standard desktop for ATX, mid-tower, full-tower and workstation-sized systems.

Desktop Size Guide

Two practical buying categories for pre-built desktops. Dimensions are approximate H × W × D.

Small form factor
Mini PCs, compact and SFF systems — typically below ATX size, from ~35 × 110 × 110 mm up to ~450 × 250 × 450 mm.
Standard desktop
ATX, mid-tower, full-tower and workstation systems — typically ~400–650 × 180–300 × 400–650 mm.

Guide only: retailer names vary. DSF treats confirmed Mini PCs and SFF systems as Small form factor; Standard desktop excludes systems explicitly identified as mini, compact/SFF or all-in-one.
